Troy, PA – Graduation is both the end and the beginning. It is a farewell and an introduction in the same instant. Local students are set to hit this momentous milestone in just a few short weeks.
The Troy High School Alumni Association has begun planning for the 126th Annual All-Class Reception and Alumni Induction Ceremony. It is a welcome of the Troy High School Senior Class to the ranks of Alumni and an opportunity for all classes to rally, encourage, and welcome the new members.
This year’s event will be held at 5:30pm on Friday May 17th, 2024, at Troy’s Memorial Auditorium. Following tradition, speakers will be featured from classes in decades ending with “4”. The emcee will be Mike Pratt, Class of 1983, and speaker at last year’s event. There will be recognition of the graduating seniors, their families, and teachers who have facilitated this twelve-year landmark. After the All-Class Reception, the brief program will begin at 6:30pm. Speakers will briefly address the Class of 2024 with perspectives of their graduation, sage advice and high school stories that can be told in public.
Speakers will include:
Class of 1954 - William "Bill" Cole
Class of 1964 - Gary Horning
Class of 1974 - Joseph Vineski
Class of 1984 - Rich Rogers
Class of 1994 - Micki Tyler Williams
Class of 2004 - Lindsay Oldroyd Miniaci
Class of 2014 - Courtney Binford Killian
Response from Class of 2024 - Jacob Hinman - Class President
The Senior Class, their family and supporters who have helped them achieve this goal are invited. All alumni, faculty, and staff from the past and present are also encouraged to attend. This casual dress event features a light buffet and time before the ceremony to socialize with fellow alumni, faculty, and the inductees. There is no cost to attend, and reservations are not needed. We hope you will join us!
The mission of the Troy Alumni Association is to preserve the spirit and history of the school and to provide opportunities for alumni to remain engaged with each other and in the programs and activities of Troy High School.
